MPS’s comprehensive range of anodes and shaft straps, which are available in New Zealand through Lusty & Blundell, offer superior protection against even the harshest galvanic corrosion.

With a specialised range that covers all types and sizes of boats, MPS anodes and shaft straps are also the most environmentally-friendly on the market and are guaranteed to be cadmium-free.

MPS anodes and shaft straps are quickly and easily installed or replaced when the vessel is lifted for its annual Spring antifouling service.

Ideal for GRP and wooden boats, MPS’s popular Maddox anode range delivers markedly superior anode protection. These low voltage, composite alloy anodes are specifically designed to protect hard metals from galvanic corrosion. Their innovative design features ridges that ensure both maximum efficiency and superb self-cleaning properties. Maddox anodes also minimise galvanic disbondment, helping maintain protective coatings such as paints and propeller applications.

The Maddox range includes the Transom Maddox Anode (available in three sizes); the Large Wedge Anode (a single unit large anode with a tapered front edge to reduce drag and ideal for under-hull mounting); the Small and Large Wedge (which are available in small pairs or a single long wedge for mounting on trim tabs or rudder mount and are also ideal for swim platforms or other areas where smaller anodes are required); and the Button (a round design suitable for bow thrusters and smaller trim tabs).

The MPS Shaft Grounding Straps are suitable for all shaft-drive vessels and electrically connect the drive shaft to the Vessel Bonding System, further reducing any incidence of galvanic corrosion on expensive metal drive parts.

The straps available in two sizes: Regular and Commercial with the Regular suitable for 1-4 inch shafts and the Commercial for 3-6 inch shafts.

The MPS anode and shaft strap ranges are now available.
